Words worth sharing

Every shirt gives someone the opportunity to say something that too often goes unsaid.

Thank you.
We see what you do.
We appreciate you.
We’ve got your back.

Here are a few of the messages we've had permission to share.

To whoever receives this,
I don’t know your story and you don’t know mine. I just wanted you to know there are people out here who appreciate what you’ve done for our community.
Thank you.
Someone out here has your back.
Sincerely, Pete

I have kids of my own, and knowing there are people willing to run towards danger when the rest of us are trying to get away is something I don’t take for granted.

Thank you for being there when families like mine need you. I'm forever grateful xx

A paramedic once helped my family on one of the worst days of our lives. I never got the chance to properly say thank you.

So this is for you, and for everyone who has ever turned up for a stranger when they needed it most.

We remember.

You may have taken the uniform off, but what you gave while you wore it still matters.

Your service mattered then. You matter now. I’ve got your back.

Cheers mate :-)

You don’t have to know me. Just know that today, somewhere in Australia, someone stopped for a minute and thought about what you’ve given.

Keep going, mate. We’ve got your back. Love Maggie

No big speech. Just thank you.

For showing up. For doing the job. For having our back. Now we’ve got yours.

John

Your message begins with your T-shirt purchase.

A FEW WORDS CAN MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE

The messages sent through I’VE GOT YOUR BACK are more than words on a page.

For the frontline workers and veterans who receive them, they can be a powerful reminder that their service is seen, appreciated and remembered.

Here are some of the responses we’ve received and have permission to share.

“What got me was that this person didn’t know me. They had nothing to gain from writing it. They just wanted somebody who had served to know they were appreciated. I wasn’t expecting that to hit me as hard as it did.”

Former Police Officer

“You get used to people seeing the uniform and not necessarily the person underneath it. Reading that letter felt different. Someone had actually stopped and thought about what the job can take out of you.”

Paramedic

“I’ve been out for a while and there are days when that part of my life feels a long way away. The message reminded me that what we did hasn’t just disappeared from people’s minds. I folded it up and put it in my bag.”

Veteran

“It wasn’t dramatic. It was just a few genuine words from someone I’d never met. Maybe that’s why it worked. It felt like someone quietly saying, ‘Mate, we see you.’”

Firefighter

“There was one line in mine that said, ‘You matter now, not just when you’re helping everyone else.’ I read that twice. I think I needed to hear it.”

Frontline Worker

Sometimes being seen is enough to change the way someone feels about the day ahead.

MORE THAN A T-SHIRT

It’s a promise you can wear.

The hand on the back represents something Australians understand instinctively.

Recognition. Reassurance. Mateship.

A quiet way of saying:
"I see you."
"I appreciate you."
"I’ve got your back."

When someone places a hand on the back of a person wearing the shirt, the gesture lands on the symbol itself.

A simple logo becomes something human.

WEAR THE PROMISE

THE SHIFT ENDS. WHAT
THEY CARRY DOESN’T ALWAYS.

Military personnel and veterans, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, ambulance officers and other frontline and emergency service workers spend years operating in situations most of us will never experience.

For some, the effects of that service stay with them long after the uniform comes off.

I’VE GOT YOUR BACK gives the wider community a simple way to show that their service is seen, appreciated and remembered.

A shirt, a message and a few genuine words can create a powerful reminder that the community still stands behind them.

The promise of mateship shouldn’t end when the shift does.
